LEAF AREA MEASUREMENT OF ANY PLANT
Petiole Pro quickly, and accurately measures leaf space destructively and non-destructively (depending on crop). It takes half as long as ImageJ or handheld leaf space meter to measure every leaf.

PETIOLE PRO LIMITATIONS

Petiole Pro has several limitations. Highly ruffled leaves make more shadows and are difficult to flatten without overlap, leading to underestimates of leaf area.

Poor quality light and extensive shadows create it difficult to clearly segment the leaf or seed, leading to less accurate measurements.

Results of using Petiole Pro in the crop experiments under far-red red light are coming. All of the above limitations keep for other picture processing software including ImageJ, BioLeaf, Simple Leaf Area, etc.
